OTGA Club Rules

Participation in the One That Got Away Club is open to all anglers who fish in the state of Maine and hold a valid fishing license for the current year. Because of the requirement that all submittals be released alive, hands-on verification of submittals is not possible. We are relying on you to be honest about your catch and release entry in order to keep the OTGA Club fair for all!

  1. All entries must be caught in Maine during the current year open water season. All fish caught must have been taken by legal means.
  2. A clear, close up photograph of the fish being submitted. Photographs will be used to promote the C&R ethic and this site. Be sure to pose your fish in the best possible light and take more than one photo if possible. All pictures submitted will eligible for the grand prize drawing. A date stamp on the picture submitted would be helpful but not required.
  3. Photographs must be taken at the catch site (NO exceptions).
  4. Pictures depicting poor handling of the fish (fingers in the gill plates, etc.) will be disqualified. Pictures that show visible bleeding, the fishes. eyes staring off into space, or other signs the fish is dead or will not survive will not be posted.
  5. Anglers can submit as many photos as they wish, but please submit only one picture per fish. Entry for the grand prize drawing will be limited to one per angler.
  6. To qualify for your picture to be posted and entered into the grand prize drawing, the following information must be provided: your name, address, phone number, email address (if available), the date the submitted fish was caught and the county the fish was caught in. If you provide the name of the water the fish was caught for TripTracks data submittal purposes and do not wish to publicly reveal the water, we will comply with your wishes and name the general area only.
  7. All submissions will be reviewed by The Dud Dean Angling Society and all determinations for a submittal's acceptance will be final.
